Quietline Brake Return Locations

Info Posted on ihcubcadet.com By Richard Christensen

Early Quietlines still had the tab welded on right side for the short spring.

Later Quietlines had it on left side. Here is spring hook up on front clevis, this one hooked on right side of clevis, I normally hook on the left side of clevis, probably doesn't matter though, still get a good connection.

Rear of spring hooks up to bracket holding transmission.

The Quietline old style short spring runs about 4 to 5 pounds up to the point where the brake is applied. The Quietline new style with the long spring runs about 3 to 4 pounds up to the same point. Then I checked the 782 which has the long spring and it was 5 to 6 pounds up to the point where the brake is applied.
